DUR-Line DLBS 3001 Sat Overvoltage Protection Lightning Protection

Due to global warming, we have a proven increase in severe storms every year. In connection with this, more and more lightning strikes are occurring in Germany. This creates impulse-like electric fields which can still have a destructive effect at a distance of several 100m. The resulting overvoltages destroy the electrical devices connected via the antenna, such as multi-switches, LNBs, receivers, and TV sets. These electromagnetic fields, which generate induction peaks here, reach the electrical devices unhindered via the coaxial cable. The Dur-line® DLBS 3001 protects your devices here for little money. This overvoltage protection should be screwed directly to each input of the multi switch or directly to each LNB output. The insertion loss of this DLBS 3001 is only 0.3dB. Inside the Dur-line® DLBS 3001, a gas conductor acts as a voltage monitor. If the voltage between the core and the shield exceeds 50 volts, a short circuit occurs in this gas path and short-circuits surge currents of up to 8,000 amperes before they can have a destructive effect on the devices downstream. When the overvoltage is over, the gas conductor switches back to protection.
